Our Story
Sabor Peruano started off as a dream of a young boy living in Lima, Peru. That young boy was named Jose Garcia, and he had always dreamed of opening a Peruvian restaurant in NYC. Along the way he met his now wife Fabiola, and together they started this business over 10 years ago.
Cultivating and perfecting family recipes that span over generations they brought authentic Peruvian cuisine to Corona, Queens. Sabor Peruano is a family business through and through, as it has been passed down from father, to son, to brother. Jose Garcia handed it down to his son Janhpierre Garcia, then he handed it down to his younger brother Christian Garcia, the current owner. With the help of family and amazing employees who have become family, Sabor Peruano has been serving the community for over 10 years. The Sabor Peruano family is proud to serve authentic Peruvian food with even more authentic service to our customers. We believe in not only serving amazing food, but in providing quality service that makes our customers feel at home. We are truly grateful to all of our customers who have kept us in business all of these years, and want them to know just how special they are to us.
